With the amount of amazing fiction for younger readers getting published, it can be overwhelming picking what to read! Luckily, we’ve picked out our favourite recently released books for readers aged 5-8 in the list below!
1 | A SHELTER FOR SADNESS BY ANNE BOOTH :
A boy resolves to make a shelter for his sadness, where he can visit it whenever he wants – even if that is many times a day – until the Sadness is ready to come out into the world. Anne Booth’s beautiful picture book, illustrated by David Litchfield, explores how we deal with negative emotions and why it is important to give them a space.

5 | THE MARVELLOUS GRANNY JINKS AND ME BY SERENA HOLLY
